Cyclosporine is also available in the market in the modified form
.Cyclosporine and their modified forms both have the common side
effects. Some normal side effects are the headache, increase or
decrease in the heart beats, growth of hair at unwanted place,
upsetting of stomach, diarrhea, gastric problems, growth of extra
and not required tissues on the gums. If any of these turn to severe
trouble the doctor should be consulted. Enlargement of the breast is
also a problem faced by men due to irregular dose of this drug.
Some patients also experience burning sensations, earing problem,
feeling low and out of mood, state of depression, cramps, difficulty
in sleeping that is isomania, flushing and ache. A less occurring
side effect of this drug is the shaking of the body part which
becomes uncontrollable in later stages. Cyclosporine also causes
some severe problems like unusual bleeding, skin getting pale and
liveless, yellowing of the eyes, fainting.severe or moderate rashes,
state of confussion, seizures and changes in the vision.
In all such cases the physician must be immediately consulted and a
check over the dosage must be done. Other possible side effects of
the drug are high blood pressure and tremor, chest pain, kidney
disease and throat pain. If some infections occur during the intake
of this drug there are chances of having chicken pox and herpes.
During pregnancy and breast feeding this drug should be avoided
because this drug is excreted in the breast milk. The interaction of
this drug with other drugs can also be dangerous and so should be
taken under the super vision of the doctor.
